How can I set up a formative quiz?

If you don't have a video with learning content to include in the learning objective checks for students at a suitable point, you can also create a neutral placeholder video - here using the example of a YouTube video with focus music for learning - and attach various quiz timelines (one quiz timeline per learning objective check) to it.

A bit more simple would be the following template: PPP-Vorlage für Lernzielkontrolle.pptx This consists only of a cover page, a blank part (where the quiz questions are displayed) and a conclusion. You can easily convert this to a video using PowerPoint, possibly with times 10/240/10 - so 10 seconds for viewing the welcome page, 240 seconds for sequentially fading in the questions (where the video then pauses), and 10 seconds for the closing page. One can now place arbitrary quiz timelines over this one video template and embed it in any content page of Canvas WU.
